Who dares twins!
Two-piece outfits are back, whether that’s a twin-set (you can skip the pearls though!), trouser suit or skirt set. Known in the trade as co-ordinates (or co-ords), this trend has been revitalised with an anything goes approach –a statement print, colour block, sharp tailoring, loose jersey, trousers or skirts, there are no rules as long as it matches! This top-to-toe look creates a slim-line silhouette which can make you look taller if you are petite. Whatever your body shape or style personality there is a cor-ord for you.
A monochromatic outfit makes a big impact for dramatics or city chics, while floaty florals work well for romantics. A fitted blazer or long waistcoat in a check would be a classic look for a boyish figure. If you’re a natural, just add an accessory such as a fringed bag for a 70’s vibe. A tailored print is a versatile look to take you from the the nine-to-five to a night out. But the best thing of all is that you can wear them separately and get two outfits for the price of one! So if you like getting your money’s worth, get mixing and matching and make your wardrobe go further this autumn/winter.
