Blog > Polka dot passion: Spring trend 2016

What I love about polka dots is that they add a bit of fun to your wardrobe.
They also get a fresh update every season, so they always look current.

For Spring 2016, polka dots are bold, smart, creative, pretty and also urging you to channel your inner ‘flamenca’!  Yes, the spring catwalks revealed some fabulous flamenco looks with a modern twist, so look out for these pieces if you like a bit of drama in your wardrobe.

So, what looks will you go for?  I have to say, I love the flamenco looks as they are fun, feminine and rather sexy too.  I just bought this fabulous top which is smart and simple with just enough ruffle to make it interesting.  I love the clever detailing of black spots on cream on the underside of the sleeve; a nice stylish touch, I think.

If you’re not thrilled by frills you can keep it simple with bold and beautiful oversized dots.

Or, you might like smaller spots on a sheer fabric for a more subtle effect.  You can also mix up bold dots with smaller dots on top and bottom.

We’ll be sharing good pieces we find on our social media. If you find a great polka dot piece, you can share it with us too.
